The heiress was allowed to leave the Clark County Detention Center after just three hours, a quick turnaround that suggests she received special treatment. However, officials at the correctional facility say her presence would have caused too much chaos among the inmates.

"Yeah, she was treated differently so I don't have a disruption of my process here at the county jail," Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Deputy Chief Jim Dixon told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. "When you bring somebody in like that, everybody comes over and tries to look at them. I'd have officers attempting to keep inmates away from her. I'd have disruptions."

Hilton is facing felony charges after 0.8 of a gram of cocaine allegedly fell out of a purse she was carrying on Aug. 27. The drugs were discovered after she and her boyfriend, Cy Waits, were pulled over on the Las Vegas Strip.

The starlet, who has insisted the purse wasn't hers, is due in court on Oct. 27.
