HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Kanye West is taking a break from the Today Show thanks to an escalating feud with Matt Lauer.
The rapper was scheduled to perform on the NBC program the day after Thanksgiving, but he's canceled the gig over issues with the co-host and show.
"I'm not performing on the Today Show for obvious reasons," West said on Twitter early Friday.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Clear the stage, Kanye West is coming back.
One year after he famously stole the microphone and cut off Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, the hip-hop star is returning to MTV's Video Music Awards, the network announced Thursday.
West, who has a new album dropping in the fall, will take the stage at next month's ceremony. Also lined up to perform is Canadian rapper Drake and UK indie favorite Florence + The Machine.

LOS ANGELES — Kanye West and Lady Gaga's highly anticipated concert tour has been canceled, tour promoter Live Nation announced late Thursday.
The news come just days after the pair revealed dates for their co-headlining "Fame Kills" concert run, which was due to kick off Nov. 10 in Phoenix and run through at least January.
Live Nation did not provide a reason for the cancellation.
The promoter said refunds will be available at the point of purchase, with tickets purchased online and via phone refunded automatically.
