Jillian HarrisHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — ABC is sticking with its winning formula by keeping a fan favorite in the drivers seat.

On Tueday night's "After the Final Rose" special, the network announced jilted "Bachelor" contestant Jillian Harris as the next star of "The Bachelorette."

The 29-year-old Harris, an interior designer from Canada, was the second-to-last girl voted off the latest season of "The Bachelor," which ended on Monday.

"I am so excited," she told host Chris Harrison, before thanking "Bachelor" Jason Mesnick for giving her a chance at the opportunity.

Harris promised that her dad wouldn't be seeing "any more hot tub scenes," but did say that she hopes to find love amongst the 25 men who will be competing for her heart.

"It's a very unorthodox way to find love, but we are living in a world where people are doing things differently," she told Harrison.

"It's a great opportunity for me," she added. "I fell in love once before and I know this is a great venue for me to fall in love again."

The show is scheduled to debut on May 18.
