Jessica Alba Recalls Her Childhood Nightmares in New Book of Essays

By Chloe Bunker on February 27, 2008

Jessica Alba, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, boobs, breasts, nude, naked, topless, bikini, beachHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — While she's gone on to become one of the most adored actresses in Hollywood, Jessica Alba suffered through her own share of challenging experiences growing up.

In an upcoming book of essays written by female celebrities, the 26-year-old Alba recalls being traumatized after developing a larger chest at an early age. The actress says she was labeled a sixth-grade slut by her elementary school principal and a couple of "self-righteous" PTA moms.

"The accusation still ricochets ... They think I'm a slut?," Alba writes in Ellyn Spragins' "If I'd Known Then."

The "Fantastic Four" star admits to kissing her first boy at the age of 7 "so he would pick me for our neighborhood baseball team." Alba, who is currently expecting her first child with fiancé Cash Warren, also says teen girls need to be on the lookout.

"Boys are awful," she writes. "They are made of nothing but hormones until they're about 20 or 21 ... It's fun to have a crush, but don't think it's forever ... And use birth control and condoms, please."

Spragins' book features a collection of letters by celebrity women (age 35 or younger) written to their younger selves. Additional contributors include Olympic soccer gold medalist Julia Foudy and actress Danica McKellar, according to the New York Post's Page Six. It is slated to be released this spring.
