LOS ANGELES – Jennifer Lopez has splashed out $18 million on a new home.
The singer-and-actress - who recently announced her split from her husband of seven years Marc Anthony - has purchased a stunning property in the exclusive Water Mill area of the Hamptons, New York.
The 14,000-square foot home - which was built in 2010 - boasts seven bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms and beautiful panoramic water views.

A new promotional campaign has been launched introducing the 40-year-old singer's alter ego as Lola. The push began with the release of Lopez's new song, "Fresh Out the Oven" (featuring Pitbull), and includes a new Web site that features the tagline "Who is Lola?"
"She was mysterious ... She was like someone I'd never met. She appeared. and then she was gone," reads an introductory message. "Lola has reinvented sexy. The word sexy can now be replaced with Lola!"
The site also features a woman, presumably Lopez, dancing seductively against a flickering black-and-white backdrop.
The woman affectionately known as J.Lo still hasn't finalized a release date on her yet-untitled album, but Pitbull spoke highly of his collaboration with the Latin star.
"Definitely something very, very sexy," he told MTV's Tr3s of their new single together. "Produced by Pharrell, look out for it. It's kind of like eyes wide shut."
Lopez's last studio album, "Brave," was released in 2007.

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have jetted away to Puerto Rico, further shedding doubt that the couple's marriage is doomed.
"They are on a holiday vacation," a rep for Anthony tells E! Online of the pair's quick trip to San Juan.
Rumors about the couple's demise first began earlier this month when Lopez showed up solo at a movie premiere, sans her wedding ring to top it off. Then Anthony was spotted in Vegas, where he was also without a ring.
The rumor mill kicked up further a short while later when Anthony was spotted at New York nightclub, where he was reportedly overheard complaining that Lopez is "driving me crazy."
The New York Daily News then broke news that the couple was planning to call it quits after Anthony's Valentine's Day concert at Madison Square Garden, a report that was quickly denied.
"There is no merit to the article," a rep for Lopez told E! on Monday.
Since arriving in San Juan, Lopez and Anthony have been spotted dining out and enjoying their quiet time together.
"Jennifer and Marc looked very happy, so it is hard for me to believe the rumors that their marriage is in trouble," Trace Donaldson, the general manager at the trendy eatery Marmalade, told E! of the couple's recent dinner together at his restaurant. "They were laughing and seemed to be having a great time."
