NEW YORK — Jennifer Hudson's representative says the entertainer is on the mend after falling ill with a bout of food poisoning.
The Oscar and Grammy winner felt well enough to perform for ABC's "Good Morning America" on Friday morning. But representative Lisa Kasteler says Hudson was taken to the hospital afterward suffering from severe abdominal pains. Hudson was treated and then released.
Hudson was promoting her second album "I Remember Me."

NEW YORK – Jennifer Hudson is working on a memoir, mostly about food.
The Academy Award-winning actress and singer has a deal with Dutton for a memoir about her struggles with weight and how she dropped 80 pounds.
Dutton, an imprint of Penguin Group (USA), announced Tuesday that Hudson's book will come out in January. The memoir is currently untitled.

SAO PAULO — American actresses Claire Danes and Jennifer Hudson have come to Brazil to promote the American Foundation for AIDS Research.
The foundation says on its website that Thursday night's fundraiser in Sao Paulo is the first benefit it has held in South America.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Hudson has dropped another 20 pounds since she first revealed her slimmed-down figure back in April.
"I didn't expect to go as far as I did!" the 29-year-old Weight Watchers spokesperson told People magazine. "People are like, 'Okay Jennifer don't lose anything else!' "
Hudson said the transformation in her figure still hasn't settled in, but perhaps that's because she's always been comfortable in her own skin.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Hudson is moving back to Chicago.
The singer-and-actress - whose mother, brother and nephew were murdered in October 2008 - is planning to move out of Florida so she and fiancé David Otunga can raise their 12-month-old son David closer to their loved ones.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Hudson has opened up for the first time about the tragic 2008 murders of her mother Darnell, brother Jason and nephew Julian.
"It's all a blur, it was surreal," the Oscar-winning actress revealed on VH1's Behind the Music: Jennifer Hudson, which aired Monday night. "It was like I was outside of myself."
Hudson said she secluded herself for two weeks after the family tragedy, which took place in her native Chicago.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Hudson is opening up about motherhood after welcoming her first child this summer with fiancé David Otunga.
"I love being nurturing and caring because I love to see other people happy," says Hudson, who welcomed son David on Aug. 10, in the latest issue of People magazine. "Who better to devote my time to than my own child?"
The former "American Idol" star managed to keep her pregnancy a secret from the tabloids, a feat that she accomplished thanks to being one lucky mother-to-be.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Hudson is going home for Christmas and inviting viewers along for the ride.
The 28-year-old Oscar-winning star will return to her native Chicago for an hour-long ABC primetime music special titled, "Jennifer Hudson: I'll Be Home for Christmas," the network announced Tuesday.
