"Penelope and Javier welcomed their first son into their family last week," the couple's reps confirmed in a statement Wednesday. "Both parents and baby are doing great."

The actress reportedly gave birth to their son at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Speculation that the 36-year-old Cruz was expecting began in July after she married her partner of three years in a secret ceremony in the Bahamas.
