HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — While he's been doing his best to conceal that a romance was brewing, Jamie Kennedy finally let the air out that's he dating his "Ghost Whisperer" co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt.

"Yes, we are dating. Wow, I've never said that," the 38-year-old Kennedy told host Ryan Seacrest on his KISS-FM radio show Friday morning.

The revelation comes on the heels of Hewitt's January announcement that she and her fiancé, Ross McCall, had broken off their engagement over the holidays. Hewitt, 30, and McCall also met on the "Ghost Whisperer" set.

Many have been speculating about Kennedy and Hewitt being an item after several spottings together, but both had denied anything more than a friendship.

"Can't you have a hamburger with a beautiful woman in this town and sing a little karaoke without it being marriage already!" Kennedy told Us Weekly last month after the pair dined together at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood.

But on Friday, Kennedy was singing a much different tune.

"I'm in love, and I don't care!" he told Seacrest. "It's amazing."

Kennedy admitted the couple shares a deep bond, with love knocking on his door a little earlier than he expected.

"I thought it was something I would find in my 40s," he said. "It's like, 'Wow, you are hot. You can sing, you can dance, you’re, like, so smart and, wow, you can cook pasta fagioli too.' "
