NEW YORK – "Grey's Anatomy" is being billed as a musical episode this week, but you won't see Patrick Dempsey and Sandra Oh doing a kick line.
"The word 'musical' tends to mislead people," said cast member Sara Ramirez, who plays Callie Torres. "Understandably so. The word 'musical' implies that there's dancing, a lot of jazz hands and some kicks and some turns."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Demi Lovato is riding on cloud nine, but this time it has nothing to do with her love life.
The 17-year-old Disney star will appear on sister network ABC's Grey's Anatomy, Lovato revealed Monday on Twitter.
"For all of you amazing patient people... I'm so thrilled to announce that this week I'm shooting Grey's Anatomy!!!!!!!! :D AHHH!!!!" she wrote.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif — After months of speculation, Katherine Heigl has finally confirmed that she's leaving Grey's Anatomy.
"I am done," Heigl declares in the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly. "We just finalized our agreement. Everyone had been working really hard to find an amicable and gracious way of letting go and moving on. It's sad but it's what I wanted."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Katherine Heigl is on the verge of leaving Seattle's Grace Hospital.
Grey's Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes has reportedly agreed to release the 31-year-old star from her contract with the ABC show, reports Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello.
The move would end Heigl's rocky six-year relationship with the series that turned her into a star as Dr. Izzie Stevens.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — T.R. Knight is opening up about his decision to leave "Grey's Anatomy," admitting that he is at peace with walking away from the top 10 show.
"There just comes a time when it's so clear that moving on is the best decision," the 34-year-old actor tells Entertainment Weekly of his departure, which was announced last month.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — T.R. Knight has confirmed his departure from televison's "Grey's Anatomy."
In a statement released Friday, the 36-year-old actor put an end to months of speculation about the future of his character, Dr. George O’Malley.
"Leaving Grey's Anatomy was not an easy decision for me to make. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to play this character and will miss my fellow cast and crew very much," he said.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Chyler Leigh is out of the delivery room.
The 27-year-old actress gave birth to a baby girl Thursday in Los Angeles, her rep confirmed to People.
Daughter Anniston Kae weighed in at 7 pounds, 1 ounce, the magazine said.
"Both mother and child are healthy," said Leigh's rep.

LOS ANGELES — It appears Seattle Grace Hospital will not be losing a few key staff members after all.
"Grey's Anatomy" creator Shonda Rhimes is squashing rumors that Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are leaving the hit ABC series.
"It's not true," insisted Rhimes Thursday night during an interview with People at the 40th Annual NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The ward at Seattle Grace Hospital could be losing a few key staff members.
Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight will reportedly leave "Grey's Anatomy," their co-star, James Pickens, told Us Weekly.
"Yes, she is," James, who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the show, told the mag when asked if Heigl was leaving the hit ABC show.
Heigl will reportedly have some company, as James said Knight is also planning to exit.
"He's going too," said James. "He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — T.R. Knight appears poised to leave the graces of Seattle.
The 35-year-old Knight has reportedly asked to be released from his "Grey's Anatomy" contract, according to Entertainment Weekly.
An insider tells EW reporter Michael Ausiello that both ABC and show creator Shonda Rhimes will most likely grant Knight his wish.
"They're working out the details now," says the source.
