Gene Simmons to Judge CBS Reality Show 'Jingles'

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gene Simmons is adding some more reality to his life.

The 58-year-old star of A&E's "Family Jewels" has signed on as a judge for the upcoming CBS reality show "Jingles," according to Reuters.

In the series, which will premiere later this year, contestants will write and perform jingles for a variety of subjects, ranging from food products to sports teams. The winner walks away with a check for $100,000 and an advertising contract.

"Jingles" is the brainchild of reality king Mark Burnett, the man behind the longtime hits "Survivor" and "The Apprentice," which Simmons recently appeared on as the show launched its first celebrity version.

Joining the former Kiss star as judges on the series will be advertising executives Linda Kaplan Thaler and Julie Roehm.

"Jingles" will be hosted by former "American Idol" contestant Kimberly Caldwell.
