ATLANTA – Even though rapper Rick Ross lacked a father figure growing up, he found guidance through many of Tupac Shakur's songs that taught him how to approach life as a young man.

So when Ross was asked to perform at Shakur's 40th birthday concert celebration Thursday night, he didn't hesitate to take the stage to pay homage to the slain rapper he calls his role model.

"Tupac played father for a lot of dudes like me," Ross told a crowd of about 500 at the Atlanta Symphony Hall after he and Meek Mills performed their single "Tupac Back."

Erykah Badu Pays $500 Fine for Nude 'Window Seat' Music Video

DALLAS — Erykah Badu has paid a $500 fine for stripping down during a controversial nude music video shoot earlier this year.

According to the Associated Press, the 39-year-old singer paid the fine on Friday. She will also serve six months of probation after she got naked while shooting her "Window Seat" music video on March 13 in Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's 1963 assassination.

Back in April, Dallas police issued Badu a disorderly conduct citation after a witness filed a complaint.

DALLAS — Erykah Badu is having her wallet stripped following a controversial nude music video shoot.

Police in Dallas revealed on Friday that the singer will be issued a disorderly conduct citation after she got naked while shooting her "Window Seat" music video on March 13 in Dealey Plaza, the site of President John F. Kennedy's 1963 assassination, the Dallas Morning News reports.

Erykah Badu Gets Naked in 'Window Seat' Music Video

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Erykah Badu turned plenty of heads in the midst of shooting her just released "Window Seat" music video.

The 39-year-old singer strips down until she's naked in the video, which was shot around Dealey Plaza in downtown Dallas — the site of President John F. Kennedy's 1963 assassination.

On Sunday, Badu took to Twitter to talk about the video, which she says was captured in just one spontaneous take.

"there were children there. i prayed they wouldnt b traumatized," she said.
