DJ AM's Estate Suing for Wrongful Death

Andrea Gross, the mother of Adam Goldstein, amended her son's $20 million lawsuit against several defendants, including Clay Lacy Aviation and Learjet Inc., on Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court, according to published reports.

"The crash ultimately caused Adam Goldstein's death at a later date," the court papers read.

DJ AM's Drug Intervention Series 'Gone Too Far' to Air on MTV

After receiving the blessing of DJ AM's family, the network will run the eight-part series "Gone Too Far" starting Monday Oct. 12 at 10 p.m. EST. The series chronicles tough-love interventions for young people whose lives have become unmanageable because of chemical dependence.

DJ AM's Death Caused By Accidental Drug Overdose

On Tuesday, the New York City medical examiner's office disclosed that the celebrity disc jockey died from a lethal cocktail of prescription drugs and cocaine, the Associated Press reports.

A toxicology report showed that DJ AM had OxyContin, Benadryl and another drug used to cut cocaine in his system.

DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, was found dead inside his New York City apartment on Aug. 28.

MTV Still Planning to Air DJ AM's Drug-Intervention Series

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that the network has been in talks with DJ AM's family regarding timing of "Gone Too Far," which was previously scheduled to premiere on Oct. 5 but will almost certainly be pushed back.

"I am absolutely heartbroken," the 25-year-old singer and actress said in a statement to Us Weekly. "For those of us lucky enough to have known him, Adam radiated a contagious exuberance for life and also personified the very definition of a true friend."

Moore and DJ AM dated briefly in 2007, but the pair remained close over the years.

"Don't know how I am gonna play 2night but I am for AM," the Blink-182 drummer posted on Twitter Saturday just prior to his band taking the stage in Hartford, Conn. "My brother is gone. I love u and miss u, I'll never forget all the good times we had."

The close friends were the lone survivors in a South Carolina plane crash last September that killed four people.

DJ AM Autopsy Results Inconclusive

NEW YORK — An initial autopsy of DJ AM's body on Saturday has proved inconclusive.

The New York City Medical Examiner's office tells the Associated Press that further tests are necessary to determine the official cause of death for DJ AM, who died Friday at the age of 36. Those toxicology tests will likely take several weeks to complete.

A law enforcement official speaking on condition of anonymity told AP that cops found a crack pipe and prescription pills in the New York City apartment where  DJ AM's body was discovered.

An investigation into the celebrity disc jockey's death is ongoing.

NEW YORK — DJ AM, one of the world's most sought-after disc jockeys, was found dead Friday afternoon inside a New York City apartment. He was 36.

An official cause of death has not been revealed, but authorities tell the Associated Press that there was drug paraphernalia inside the home where DJ AM was discovered.

DJ AM, whose real name was Adam Michael Goldstein, grew up in Philadelphia before hitting it big in the nightclub scene. His high-profile gig led to him dating several stars, including TV personality Nicole Richie and actress-singer Mandy Moore.

DJ AM's death comes nearly a year after he and Blink-182 musician Travis Barker were the lone survivors in a South Carolina plane crash that killed four people.
