D'Angelo Takes Disorderly Conduct Plea in NYC Prostitution Case

The Grammy Award-winning R&B singer entered his plea Friday. The offense is a violation, not a crime.

Prosecutors say he has satisfied conditions they declined to specify. The singer and his lawyer declined to comment.

Police say the 36-year-old entertainer, whose real name is Michael Archer, was arrested early Saturday morning while behind the wheel of his Range Rover.

In a statement, his manager, Lindsay Guion, said the "Lady" singer had pleaded not guilty and planned to fight the charge against him.
