HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston will guest star on the season two premiere of Courteney Cox's ABC hit Cougar Town, the network announced Monday.
Bill Lawrence, the show's executive producer, tells Entertainment Weekly that Aniston will a play shrink named Bonnie who counsels Cox's character, Jules.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jennifer Aniston may be paying an old "friend" a visit.
The 41-year-old actress is in talks to guest star on Courteney Cox's ABC hit Cougar Town, Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports.
Aniston would reportedly reunite with her former Friends costar in an early season 2 episode. The comedy series kicks off its new season on Sept. 22.

LOS ANGELES — Courteney Cox is expected to be back on the job next week after taking a break from Cougar Town to deal with a "family matter."
A fellow cast member tells E! that the cast and crew were told last Thursday that the ABC series wouldn't shoot the following day, but they were never given a reason why. Neither Fox nor the network have the divulged what the "family matter" was.
Cougar Town is expected to resume production on Nov. 30 following a previously planned hiatus for the Thanksgiving holiday week, a source said.
On the freshman hit, the 45-year-old Cox stars as Jules, a recently divorced single mother dealing with jumping back into the dating scene in her forties.

LOS ANGELES — Production on Cougar Town has been suspended while Courteney Cox deals with a family matter, ABC confirmed Saturday.
"We can confirm production on Cougar Town has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney to deal with a private family matter," the network said in statement.
On the freshman hit, the 45-year-old Cox stars as Jules, a recently divorced single mother dealing with jumping back into the dating scene in her forties.
The critically acclaimed series also stars Busy Philipps, Dan Byrd, Christa Miller, Josh Hopkins, Ian Gomez and Brian Van Holt.
Cox and her husband, actor David Arquette, have been married since 1999. They have one daughter, Coco, 5.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Courteney Cox will soon welcome an old "friend" on Cougar Town.
Lisa Kudrow has signed on for a guest appearance on Cox's new ABC series, TV Guide reports.
Kudrow, 46, will play a nasty dermatologist that Jules (Cox) can't seem to stop going to despite her evil nature.
The episode is slated to air during November sweeps, TV Guide said.
It will mark the first appearance by a former Friends star on Cox's series, which debuted in September.
