HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Actor Chad Lowe has blasted rumors that his girlfriend Kim Painter has been secretly hooking up with Val Kilmer.

The rumors began swirling after a source told the New York Post's Page Six that the "mystery" gal recently snapped running hand-in-hand from the paparazzi with Kilmer appeared to be Painter — Lowe's girlfriend of a year.

However, Lowe's rep tells Page Six that Lowe and Painter are "madly in love," and, "Val and Kim are old friends and were working in Los Angeles together."
