HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Simon Monjack, the husband of late actress Brittany Murphy, was found dead late Sunday. He was 39.
According to the Associated Press, a 911 call was placed from the Los Angeles home Monjack shared with Murphy around 9:40 p.m. It is believed the distress call was made by Murphy's mother, Sharon.
Police said the cause of death appears to be natural causes after finding no signs of foul play.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brittany Murphy's final autopsy report was released Thursday, the results of which confirmed that the actress did not abuse alcohol or drugs.
"There is no history of alcohol or drug abuse," the report stated, while also noting that at 115 pounds Murphy was "not excessively thin."
Earlier this month, the L.A. County coroner's office disclosed that Murphy died of pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency anemia and prescription drugs. Her death was ruled as accidental.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brittany Murphy died of pneumonia complicated by iron deficiency anemia and prescription drugs, the L.A. County coroner's office revealed Thursday.
Officials said the star's primary cause of death was community-acquired pneumonia. They declined to specify what types of drugs were found in her system, but said they were all prescription medications.
Her death has been ruled as accidental.

LOS ANGELES — Brittany Murphy was laid to rest on Christmas Eve in a private funeral for the 32-year-actress who died unexpectedly last weekend.
The service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills featured both Christian and Jewish clergy, with family and close friends singing "Amazing Grace." The funeral concluded with a reading from The Little Prince, one of Murphy's favorite books.
"Today a wife, a daughter, a niece, a cousin, a family member and dear friend to thousands was laid to rest," the star's family said in a statement. "Brittany was an incredibly loving and passionate person ... there are no words that can truly express the devastation felt by Brittany's husband, mother, and everyone who attended the intimate service."

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Brittany Murphy's funeral will take place on Christmas Eve at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Hollywood Hills, American Superstar has learned.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The Los Angeles County Coroner's office is seeking answers after an investigator's report on Brittany Murphy's death was seemingly leaked to TMZ, the Associated Press reports.
Earlier today, the celebrity gossip site said that it had reviewed the notes written by an investigator during an inspection of the star's home after her death on Sunday. TMZ's report went on to state that Murphy's husband and mother "attempted to revive the decedent by placing her in the shower and running the water."
