LOS ANGELES – Beyonce Knowles hates the smell of her husband "right now".
The singer-and-actress is currently expecting her first child with spouse Jay-Z and admits pregnancy is affecting her sense of smell so can no longer stand the fragrance the hip-hop superstar wears.

LOS ANGELES – Beyonce Knowles feels there is "nothing more empowering" than being pregnant.
The 'Love On Top' singer is carrying her first child with husband Jay-Z and feels it has already made her stronger as a woman.
She said: "It is the most powerful creation for you to be able to have life growing inside of you. There is no bigger gift, nothing more empowering.

NEW YORK – Beyonce Knowles is having "the most fun time" with her pregnancy.
The 'Love on Top' singer publicly announced she and husband Jay-Z are expecting their first child together at the MTV Video Music Awards in August, and while she said it had been hard to conceal her baby bump, she is now "proud" to show it off to the world.

LOS ANGELES – Beyonce Knowles, Russell Brand, David Duchovny and "King's Speech" director Tom Hooper have been invited to join the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
The film academy said Friday it has invited 178 film-industry workers to join its ranks this year.
Documentarian Tim Hetherington, who was nominated for an Oscar this year and then killed in Libya two months after the ceremony, was invited posthumously to join the academy.

LOS ANGELES – Beyonce is turning heads with the release of her "Run the World (Girls)" music video.
The singer's hot new video premiered Wednesday night on "American Idol" – and later on her official website. On the Francis Lawrence-directed clip, Beyonce prances around in high-fashion couture while surrounded by countless dancers – and animals.

NEW YORK – Students at a New York City public school working out to a Beyonce song got a big surprise when the superstar walked in and joined them.
About 85 students at P.S. 161 in Harlem were in the middle of a choreographed routine Tuesday to a song adapted from Beyonce's hit "Get Me Bodied" when the singer arrived.
The children were participating in a national simulcast of "Let's Move Flash Workout." It's part of first lady Michelle Obama's fitness campaign.

NEW YORK – Mathew Knowles says Beyonce's decision to part ways with him as a manager was part of her growing up.
In an interview with The Associated Press on Tuesday, Knowles called his daughter a "very, very smart businesswoman" who is ready to take control of her own career.
"It should come as no surprise that at 29 years old, almost 30, that she wants to have more control of her business," he said.

LOS ANGELES – Beyonce will no longer be managed by her father, Mathew Knowles.
Beyonce's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, told The Associated Press in a statement Monday that the Grammy-winning singer and her father have parted ways "on a business level."
Knowles has managed his daughter since she debuted as a teen in the multiplatinum-selling group Destiny's Child in the late 1990s and throughout her superstar career as a solo artist.

NEW YORK – Beyonce says she donated money she received for performing for the Gadhafi clan to Haiti relief efforts more than a year ago.
The superstar made the revelation in a statement Wednesday to The Associated Press. Her announcement comes days after singer Nelly Furtado tweeted that she had gotten $1 million from the Gadhafi clan to perform in Italy in 2007. Furtado says she's donating that money to charity.

NEW YORK — Jay-Z is growing tired of the rumors about wife Beyoncé being pregnant with the couple's first child.
"I really sit back and wonder when people are going to stop," the music mogul said of the pregnancy chatter during an appearance on Howard Stern's radio show Monday. "The day that happens, I don't think Newsday is going to know before my grandmother."
