While you may be familiar with stories about people turning into animals, here's a premise you definitely haven't encountered before: 16-year-old Gretchen Yee wakes up as a fly trapped inside the boy's locker room at her high school, where she proceeds to spy on her schoolmate's conversations, as well as their — well, um, let's put it as Gretchen Yee puts it — "gherkins."

From the depths of the La-Z-Boy recliner in his New York City apartment, author John Green spends much of his time writing, and not chewing Nicorette gum by the cheek-full.
"The five-year love affair was long enough," he says, "I've got no interest in it now."
Author Andrew Auseon Leans on His Imagination

Growing up in the suburbs of Ohio, Andrew Auseon developed his independent personality as the middle of three brothers.
"I was very imaginative," recalls the 29-year-old author, who was raised in the town of Upper Arlington. "I was never a big person to play with other people. I've talked to a lot of other writers who were that way as well. It's a little jarring to start a social life."
