Things got a little quiet at the tail end of Justin Bieber’s Comedy Central Roast, which (finally) aired last night (Mar. 30, 2015).
After some two hours of Bieber bashing, the man himself took to the mic and issued an apology. Yes, an apology for all the things we can file under “Troubled Past.”
“There was really no preparing me for this life,” the Biebs says in the minute-long speech. “I was thrown into this at 12 years old and didn’t really know what I was getting myself into… There’s been moments I’m really proud of, and a lot of moments I look back and I’m pretty disappointed in myself for. But the things that I’ve done really don’t define who I am. I’m a kind-hearted person who loves people, and through it all, I lost some of my best qualities. For that, I’m sorry. “
The 21-year-old goes on to say he’s excited for “what’s next” and thanks God for “never giving up on me.” You know, the usual.
If you’re going to watch anything from the Bieber roast, and, if you’re going to watch this video, do it for the Biebs’ latest stop on his apology tour. And the special (hairy) guest.
