Selena Gomez just delivered a powerful performance at the American Music Awards.

The 22-year-old singer performed “The Heart Wants What It Wants” at the American Music Awards. The song is about Gomez’s ex, Justin Bieber, and the singer got very emotional during her performance. You have to watch this video!

Gomez looked gorgeous wearing a gold dress during her performance. This was her first time performing the song and you could definitely feel her emotions.

At one point in the song, Gomez stopped and mouthed what appeared to be “thank you Jesus.” Then at the end of the song, Gomez was fighting back tears.

When the performance was over, cameras caught Gomez’s best friend, Taylor Swift, crying in the front row. You could tell she really felt for her friend.
