'The King's Speech' Leads 2011 Golden Globe Nominations

The King's Speech, Golden Globe Awards, Golden Globes, nominations, 2011, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, new, 2010HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The King's Speech racked up seven nominations, including best film drama, to lead the field of contenders for the 2011 Golden Globe Awards, organizers announced Tuesday.

Following just behind with six nominations each were the Facebook movie The Social Network and Mark Wahlberg's boxing flick The Fighter. Both joined The King's Speech in the race for best drama in a field that also includes Inception and Black Swan.

Nominees for best comedy or musical motion film are Alice in WonderlandBurlesque, The Kids Are All Right, Red and The Tourist.

On the acting side, nominees for best actor in a drama film are Wahlberg (The Fighter), Jesse Eisenberg (The Social Network), Colin Firth (The King's Speech), James Franco (127 Hours) and Ryan Gosling (Blue Valentine).

In the race for best actress in a drama film, the field of contenders are Halle Berry (Frankie and Alice), Nicole Kidman (Rabbit Hole), Jennifer Lawrenece (Winter's Bone), Natalie Portman (Black Swan) and Michelle Williams (Blue Valentine).

Johnny Depp picked up two nods in the race for best actor in a comedy or musical film for his roles in Alice in Wonderland and The Tourist. He will compete against Paul Giamatti (Barney's Vision), Jake Gyllenhaal (Love and Other Drugs) and Kevin Spacey (Casino Jack).

On the television side, nominees for best comedy or musical are 30 Rock, The Big Bang Theory, The Big CGlee, Modern Family and Nurse Jackie.

For best TV drama, the field features newcomer Boardwalk Empire. The HBO hit will compete against Dexter, The Good Wife, Mad Men and The Walking Dead.
