Taylor Swift wants you to know that she does not need a man! (In case you didn’t know already.)
The “Shake It Off” singer is getting even more candid about her relationship status and love life in the December issue of British Cosmopolitan magazine.
Taylor seems to be singing a completely different tune about dating compared to the past. But we are loving her single and proud attitude she’s been rocking recently.
The 24-year-old, who looks stunning in the spread, opens up to Cosmo about women being judged for their dating lives.
“Why is it mischievous, fun, and sexy if a guy has a string of lovers that he’s cast aside; loved and left,” she told the mag. ”Yet if a women dates three or four people in an eight-year period she is a serial dater and it give some 12-year-old the idea to call her a ‘slut’ on the internet? It’s not the same for boys, it just isn’t and that’s fact.”
Taylor has been no stranger to scrutiny especially when it comes to her dating life. Think she’s trying to send a message? Well, at least she’s learned something from all those relationships.
“I’ve learned that just because someone is cute and wants to date you, that’s not a reason to sacrifice your independence and allow everyone to say whatever they want about you. I’m not doing that anymore,” she shared.
But the singer/songwriter insists that she has a new love in her life, but it’s not what you might think. ”Life can be romantic without having a romance. I am very attracted to how happy I am now.”
