It eventually had to happen.
With the start date of his next job just around the corner, Stephen Colbert signed off one last time on The Colbert Report Thursday night. If you missed it (what could possibly have been more important than the last Report?!) and only have time to watch a few minutes of the show, consider the following five.
With Randy Newman on the piano, Colbert got up from his desk to join Jon Stewart for the first few lines of “We’ll Meet Again.” Then, more celebrities got in on the fun.
So. Many. Celebrities.
And not just celebrities. There were politicians (howdy, President Bill Clinton), icons (Gloria Steinem) and even make believe dragons (stay cool, Smaug).
Basically it was a game of How Many Famous People Can You Spot During This Musical Number?
Colbert is slated to replace David Letterman on The Late Show in the second half of 2015.
Watch “We’ll Meet Again,” below.
