Zayn Malik may have left One Direction, but the singer’s relationship with fiancé Perrie Edwards is still on.
Edwards, who has been engaged to Malik since 2013, was spotted leaving the home she shares with the British singer this week with a ring on that finger. Riding in the back of a car, the Little Mix flashed her large engagement bling when she raised her hand to the window.
Recently, the couple were rocked by rumors that Malik had cheated after photos of the former boy bander getting close to a female fan surfaced online. Amid alleged infidelity reports, Malik took a break from touring with One Direction to return to the U.K. to be with his fiancée. Days later, the 22-year-old announced that he had decided to leave his band.
Though fans accused Edwards of playing a part in Malik’s departure, Malik insisted his exit stemmed from wanting a normal life.
“My life with One Direction has been more than I could ever have imagined. But, after five years, I feel like it is now the right time for me to leave the band. I’d like to apologise to the fans if I’ve let anyone down, but I have to do what feels right in my heart,” he said in a statement. “I am leaving because I want to be a normal 22-year-old who is able to relax and have some private time out of the spotlight. I know I have four friends for life in Louis, Liam, Harry and Niall. I know they will continue to be the best band in the world.”
Malik since revealed he will be working on solo material.
