Oops! President Obama Flubs James Francos’ Name: Watch the Clip!

By Celebrity News Wire on December 19, 2014

President Barack Obama has a lot on his plate and knowing how to pronounce actors’ names is really not one of them…

POTUS spoke out Friday morning to address concerns over new details that North Korea is behind the Sony hacking attack and the cancellation of The Interview, featuring James Franco and Seth Rogen.

However, while people were interested in what the Pres had to say regarding the very serious matter, no one could prevent themselves from a tiny giggle when he accidentally flubbed Franco’s last name.

“I think it says something about North Korea,” Obama says, that it would “mount an all-out attack over a satirical film … starring Seth Rogen and James Flacco [sic].”

LOL!  But on a more serious note, the President continued, revealing that Sony had not consulted him prior to canceling the film.

“Sony is a corporation, it suffered significant damage, there were some threats against employees,” Obama told reporters. “I am sympathetic to the concerns that they faced. Having said all that, yes, I think they made a mistake.”

He continued, “If somebody is able to intimidate folks out of releasing a satirical movie, imagine what they start doing when they see a documentary that they don’t like, or news reports that they don’t like. That’s not who we are. That’s not what America’s about… We cannot have a society in which some dictator some place can start imposing censorship here in the United States.”

And Obama isn’t the only one who feels that way.  Several of Hollywood’s biggest names have spoken out against Sony’s decision to pull the film, including George Clooney, Steve Carrell, Jimmy Kimmel and more.

Meanwhile, the U.S. government is currently considering a “proportional response” to the attack.
