Obsessions of the Week: Rihanna’s ‘BBHMM,’ ‘Mad Men,’ Helen Mirren, and More

By Celebrity News Wire on April 1, 2015

Obsessions-Of-The-Week-Rihanna-Mad-Men

Each Wednesday, the editors of Celebuzz tell you what we’re loving this week. From Rihanna‘s new single to the final episodes of Mad Men, here are our current picks.

#BBHMM

At first, I thought I wasn’t going to get into Rihanna’s new single, but as I played it over and over, it definitely grew on me… And now there’s a constant “bitch betta ha’ muh monay” resounding in my head, and I like it. Not to mention, Rihanna is one of my idols, and I’ve realized that really anything she does I’m going to end up loving. Period. – Kendall

Trevor Noah’s Twitter Feed (Except the old, offensive tweets)

Your next Daily Show host Trevor Noah may be a man of mystery in America, but elsewhere, the dude is a legend. Just look at his Twitter feed. Sure, there are some controversial tweets of the past that he should probably take down or address, but all in all, the feed is a handy source for some quick laughs. Some recent favorites include his thoughts on dragging a heavy chair, nude photos, and that dress. - Peggy

Taylor Swift and Madonna = BFFs

Taylor Swift is very vocal about her love for Madonna, so it was really cool to see her performing with her idol at the iHeartRadio Awards. TSwift on the guitar? Yes. - Jess

The (Final) Return of Mad Men

It’s the end of an era. One of my favorite shows, Mad Men, begins airing its final seven episodes on Sunday. I am greatly looking forward to seeing how the show wraps things up, though I will, of course, be sad to see it end. Bonus: It’s been nice seeing the cast out and about promoting the series’ end, sharing stories and behind-the-scenes tidbits from the last seven years. – Matt

Justin Timberlake’s Adorable Shout Out to Jessica Biel and Baby

I mean, stop. Justin Timberlake’s iHeart Radio Music Awards speech was everything any woman could ever expect out of her hubby during one of those moments. Calling her his best friend and favorite collaborator and then adding, ‘Honey, I can’t wait to see our greatest creation yet. Don’t worry, Daddy’s heading home right now to innovate by learning how to change a poopy diaper and get my swaddle on.’ I’m dead. That’s it. – Kendall

Going Clear: Scientology and The Prison of Belief

Prepare to be horrified. While much of the information contained within the Scientology film isn’t technically new (especially since the doc is based on executive producer Lawrence Wright’s book of the same name), it does forcefully, brutally put faces to many of the stories, and assembles a meticulous, damning case against the church. There are a ton of WTF moments throughout the documentary, and it is begging for sequel, Where is Michele “Shelly” Miscavige? Miscavige is the wife of the Church’s current leader, David Miscavige, and member of the Church’s Sea Organization (Sea Org). According to Lawrence Wright’s book on which Gibney’s film is based, she disappeared in June 2006 and has not been seen publicly seen August 2007. Her official whereabouts are still unknown. – Michael

When Kanye Met Iris

Talk about a meet-cute! The coolest woman in fashion and legendary style icon Iris Apfel met Kanye West back in 2011 at the CFDA Awards, and amazingly showed off her flirtatious side. A known fashion aficionado, West swooned over the 93-year-old, telling her she was killin’ it and looked so good in her neon yellow gown (because she was and always is). Swaying back and forth, Apfel batted her eyelashes and responded, “Thank you, my goodness, coming from a handsome young fella? Wow. That’s cool.” We could all take a couple of cues – fashion and flirting – from the goddess herself. - Kaitlyn

Rihanna Checking Out Nicki Minaj’s Boobs Those of us who were left a little underwhelmed by Rihanna’s new single, “Bitch Better Have My Money,” and the bizarre, star-studded launch of Tidal, a streaming service in which Rihanna has equity, will at least have this incredible photo of Rih eyeing Nicki Minaj’s cleavage (from the Tidal launch event) to commemorate the Week in Bad Gal. - Matt

Blue Mascara

No, we haven’t literally stepped back into the 90s, but lots of trends from the era are making their way back in a big way! Right now, I’m super into colorful mascara to add some fun brightness to the eyes. My go-to is a blue or turquoise hue because I have blue eyes, but purple was a huge hit on the runway for spring ‘15,  too! Come on, give it a try! – Kendall

Dame Helen Mirren

Dame Queen Helen Mirren is my hero. I want to be friends with her. I want to have her on speed dial. I want to be like, “Hey Hel, it’s Peg, let’s take the subway downtown together and have oysters and cocktails.” She’s everywhere this week because she’s in a new movie called Woman In Gold (the real-life story is badass too, so be sure to watch the film). Last night, the 69-year-old proved once again how cool she is when she told Jimmy Fallon about the time she got someone kicked off the subway in New York City. She also really wants to be in Furious 8. Movie gods, please make it happen. – Peggy

Pac-Man on Google Maps

Last April’s Fool Day, Google added Pokemon to its map and lured weak-willed 90s kids like myself to waste their work day “catching” 150 Pokemon hidden across the globe. This year, the company once again used nostalgia against me by unleashing Pac-Man on the app, allowing users to play the classic arcade game set on real-life streets. Needless to say, productivity will be at a stand-still for the remainder of the day. – Gabi

Justin Bieber Roast

Justin Bieber has had his ups and downs, and everyone was ready for him to get roasted. There were some amazing jokes at the roast, but the best came from Martha Stewart. She gave him advice on how to survive in jail. Epic. – Jess
