Whoever had the idea to have Pharrell sitting behind the camera, filming models dancing—especially following last year’s “Blurred Lines”—for the female empowerment song “Come Get It Bae” has a slight optics problem. But no matter. The second half of the video, when Miley Cyrus shows up, gets better. The two do a series of leg lifts and generally look so dorky it’s hard not to love them.
The video is a bit reminiscent of George Michaels‘ 1990 “Freedom! ’90” music video which features a bunch of supermodels and pretty much marked the height of the period of time when supermodels ruled the world.
“Come Get It Bae” is the second single from Girl, following “Happy.” Remember that one?
