Lena Dunham Warms Up to L.A., Buys $2.7 Million Mansion: See Inside Her Hollywood Pad

Lena Dunham Addresses Engagement Rumors
Lena Dunham was caught wearing a few bulky rings on that finger over the last few days...

Lena Dunham spends so much time in Los Angeles that she’s decided to buy a $2.7 million Hollywood mansion, despite the fact that she once confessed she doesn’t feel at home in Hollywood – and if she ever did, somebody should worry about her.

Granted, a lot has changed in the past year for the sometimes controversial Dunham, such as having more famous friends like Taylor Swift

The 3-bedroom, 3-bathroom historic 1920’s “Spaulding Square” mansion is 2,500 square foot on an enormous 8,101 square foot lot. There’s a guest house on the property, as well as plenty of gardens and hedges shielding her property.

Other features include a salt water pool, three covered porches, a wood-burning fireplace, attic space, and an open plan living/kitchen area with generous amounts of light and high ceilings.

Dunham spends several weeks in L.A. for work on her HBO show Girls, where executive producers Judd Apatow and Jennifer Konner both live.

Her big purchase comes at a bit of a surprise since she told Vogue in February 2014, “I like Los Angeles, but more than two weeks and I start to get a very sad feeling,” she explained. “You eat well there, and you take hikes, and my dog” – her rescure named Lamby – “loves it, but ultimately it’s not the right place for me.”

As for the Hollywood scene, she told the fashion magazine,

I went early on to a party at a really famous person’s house. They had a private chef there making pizza, and I remember the dog was wearing a bow tie. Every time I looked around, it would be like, Is that someone I know from camp? No, that’s Ashton Kutcher. It was such a weird scene. I remember thinking, I don’t feel at home here, and no matter how long this is my job, I will never feel at home here. And if I do start to feel at home here…someone should really worry about me.

Welp. To worry, or not to worry?
