Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney took the plunge this weekend – the polar bear plunge, that is!
The newly engaged couple participated in the Chicago Polar Plunge today (March 1, 2015) at Lake Michigan. The annual icy waters event raises money for the local chapter of the Special Olympics.
A shirtless Kinney adorably carried Gaga, wearing a black Chicago Fire t-shirt and black leggings, on his shoulders as they entered the frigid waters together.
And once again, they prove they’re the cutest couple on the face of the earth.
Gaga wrote on Instagram, “❤️ feels so good to do things for a good cause like the Special Olympics. It’s great donate money, but also great to donate a gesture of love for those who deserve to be showered with it.”
She then added, “my weave froze!! Taylor gave me his hat I thought my wig was gonna freeze into and become one with the lake”

Kinney’s Chicago Fire co-stars David Eigenberg, Randy Flagler, Jon Seda and Brian Geraghty, as well as actor Vince Vaughn all took the plunge as well, in addition to 4,500 other participants.
Vaughn, a Lake Forest, IL native, had agreed to serve as the event’s guest of honor after the social media campaign #VinnyDippin went viral.
Gaga and Kinney have been engaged since Valentine’s day, when the latter presented the singer with a half-million dollar, heart-shaped diamond ring.
The couple have been dating since 2011.
