While Ciara looks like she could deliver her baby boy any day now, bestie Kim Kardashian is helping her get ready to be a parent.
The singer posed for W magazine, showing off her ever-growing baby bump, and shared some of her thoughts on pregnancy and parenting, including some helpful tips the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star passed her way.
Ciara, who found success shortly after graduating from high school, isn’t sure she wants that same fame for her children.
“It’s a really hard world,” she says, but quickly adds, “If that’s what their heart yearns for, then I’m down. I believe in allowing your child to be who they want to be–as long as they want to be something great!”
And guess who that bit of wisdom came from? None other than Kim K, whose daughter North West has already seen her fair share of the spotlight, including a Vogue magazine spread.
“You don’t know your child until they get here, you don’t know their personality,” Ciara says. ”There is a lot of learning to do. I loved that advice.”
Kim, who attended Ciara’s baby shower last month, also added her insight on “everything from breastfeeding to how a stroller works.”
As for the pregnancy side of things and watching her body change drastically over the last several months, the “Body Party” singer loves being able to let go.
“It feels good to not have to wonder whether your abs are tight enough. I like not being so perfect.”
She also admits that her fiancé Future‘s closet has played a huge part in her maternity wear.
“I feel like pregnancy has been a great fashion challenge because you can’t wear things that you used to wear and you still want to feel like who you are,” she continues. ”I have to pay some credit to my fiancé’s closet because I literally have worn probably all of his clothes.”
LOL! That’s a good future hubby right there!
Ciara and Future are expecting a baby boy this spring.
