Kelly Clarkson Revealed the Birth of Her Baby Girl on Twitter

Just in time for Father’s Day, Kelly Clarkson and her hubby Brandon Blackstock have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl!

The American Idol alum announced the news via Twitter on Saturday, saying, “Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)”

Clarkson and Blackstock, who is Reba McEntire‘s stepson, were married last October in Tenessee and already share their home with two pre-teens whom Blackstock has from a previous relationship.

And not to get weird, but Kelly totally had ESP about her family plans, because she predicted a girl for herself last year while promoting her Christmas album on Elvis and Duran and the Morning Show.

“I’m totally gonna have a girl,” she predicted. “My first child will be a girl—I know it in my soul.”

She of course celebrated on Twitter when her prediction came true three months later:

 

Well anyway, our congratulations go out to the happy couple! There’s nothing like the happiness (and adorable Instagram pics) that a new baby brings to a family.
