Joan Rivers Says Gwyneth Paltrow ‘Has a Stick Up Her Rear End.’ Also, Earth Not Flat.

By Celebrity News Wire on April 17, 2014

No one is safe from Joan Rivers. The E! Fashion Police critic rips apart celebs’ style choices for a living, but which actress was most angry with the acerbic talk show host? Well, that would be Gwyneth Paltrow of course.

Joan, who is 80 years old by the way, appeared on Andy Cohen‘s Watch What Happens Live last night and when a caller asked which celebrity gave her the hardest time for her clothing critique, the curmudgeonly comedian did not mince words.

“The worst criticism was, ugh, Gwyneth Paltrow,” Joan said, while rolling her eyes. “She came and yelled at us, but she stood up. She can’t sit down ’cause she’s got a stick up her rear end.”

Paltrow, 41, recently separated from rocker Chris Martin after 10 years of marriage, and the couple made the announcement on Gwyneth’s lifestyle website, Goop. Calling the split a “Conscious Uncoupling,” the Iron Man actress invoked the ire of public opinion for being pretentious. Paltrow proceeded to anger the world after stating in an interview that her film schedule is more challenging than the average working mom.

In case you missed it, this is what she said. “I think it’s different when you have an office job, because it’s routine and, you know, you can do all the stuff in the morning and then you come home in the evening. When you’re shooting a movie, they’re like, ‘We need you to go to Wisconsin for two weeks,’ and then you work 14 hours a day and that part of it is very difficult. I think to have a regular job and be a mom is not as, of course there are challenges, but it’s not like being on set.” ARRGH! SO. MUCH. ANGER.

Sorry, we digress.

Watch Joan’s choice words for the mother-of-two in the clip above.
