Jennifer Lawrence has one of the best support systems in the world.
On Saturday night, hours after news broke that the Silver Linings Playbook actress had been diagnosed with pneumonia, her film family made it clear that they’ve got the 22-year-old’s back, in sickness and in health.
“Jennifer’s been through the wringer working on her movie and doing all the events for us,” director David O. Russell told Celebuzz at the Producers Guild Awards.
“But I’m gonna give her an organ transplant and it’s all gonna work out.”
While Lawrence’s co-stars didn’t offer any medical assistance, they still offered kind words.
“I want her to get better, she’s such a sweet person. A sweet girl. So I hope she gets better soon,” said Chris Tucker.“Well, she’s been working really, really hard. I imagine that she’s crashing,” echoed Julia Stiles.
“So I hope she gets better very soon, certainly in time for the end of Febraury. She’s a strong, strong lady so I’ll think she’ll pull through.”
News of Lawrence’s illness first made headlines after her other Silver Linings co-star Jacki Weaver accepted the Best Actress prize on JLaw’s behalf at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts International Awards ceremony.
“Poor Jen is really sick. She really is sick. She has pneumonia,” Weaver said at the podium Saturday afternoon.
Lawrence, who is both a nominee and presenter at Sunday’s Screen Actors Guild Awards, is still planning to show up to the event, unless her sickness gets worse.
“She’s been very sick,” a source told PEOPLE. “She was laying low all week. She plans to be there tonight.”
