Jason Aldean is fessin’ up.

After photos of the country crooner cozying up to a woman other than his wife hit the web, Aldean didn’t shy away from the cheating scandal. Instead, the singer — who is married to his high school sweetheart Jessica Ussery — took to his Facebook to tackle the controversy head on.

“Hey Guys—I wanted to talk to you directly, so you were hearing the truth from me and not just reading allegations made about my personal life on gossip web sites,” Aldean wrote on his Facebook page.

How did the singer explain the snaps?

“The truth is that I screwed up,” said Aldean, best known for his songs “My Kinda Party, “Dirt Road Anthem” and “Big Green Tractor.”

What went wrong on that fateful night? “I had too much to drink, let the party get out of hand and acted inappropriately at a bar,” he confessed. “I left alone, caught the bus to our next show and that’s the end of the story.”

Above all, Aldean regretted how his bad behavior will weigh on his loved ones. “I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself,” he admitted. “I’m not perfect, and I’m sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support.”

Though Aldean didn’t disclose the identity of his “other woman,” TMZ is reporting the country star was smooching American Idol alum Brittany Kerr at a Los Angeles bar last week. Aldean has been a married man since 2001, and has two children with Ussery.
