Notwithstanding the revolving door that seems to lead Hollywood stars from one relationship to the next, actors are often faced with the tough – if enviable – challenge of kissing, or even doing love scenes, with men and women who are not their significant other.
But Julianne Hough says that she doesn’t face problems of jealousy in her off screen relationship with Ryan Seacrest because the American Idol host understands what’s involved with playing romantic roles like the one she does in the new film Safe Haven.
“He knows. He gets it,” she tells Celebuzz. “He knows what this job entails.”
In Safe Haven, Hough plays Katie, a young woman with a troubled past who hides out in a small Southern town, only to find herself falling for a local businessman.
She admits that the movie demands a lot of physical interaction with co-star Josh Duhamel – which can’t be easy for Seacrest to watch.
“This is the first film that I’ve done that has a real love scene in it,” she says. “[It] has some hot and heavy chemistry – because that’s what this movie is about.”
But ultimately, Hough reiterates that she and Seacrest haven’t had problems as a result of her professional liaisons. “It’s definitely a sensitive thing,” she observes. “But it’s not an issue.”What do you think about the idea of actors making out with their co-stars — is that something you could handle easily, or would it be impossible to watch?
