Today in “happy Friday” news, George Clooney took one of the cutest selfies ever with the cast of Downton Abbey.
The envy is real. The handsome George (with his megawatt smile) is guest appearing as a debonair American wedding guest on the exceptional BBC period drama’s Christmas special, which airs Friday!
The Hollywood star stepped back into modern day taking this cast selfie ahead of the ITV Text Santa charity show.

Wearing a 3 piece grey suit and his notoriously suave smile, George posed with the main characters of the show like Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael), Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery), Carson (Jim Carter), Tom Branson (Allen Leech), Thomas Barrow (Rob James-Collier), Molesley (Kevin Doyle) and Lady Rose (Lily James).
The 53-year-old newlywed (to the gorgeous lawyer Amal Alamuddin) looked super happy to be taken back in time to the dapper 1920′s.
The charity show Christmas special is an annual fundraiser benefiting six U.K. charities.
The Telegraph reports that Clooney will be planting a kiss on the eponymous Dame Maggie Smith‘s character (Violet Crawley, Dowager Countess of Grantham) - who then (understandably) faints!?
That is definitely something we don’t want to miss.
