SOS. The Internet is visibly distressed over Zayn Malik‘s decision to leave One Direction. Since the 22-year-old made his shocking announcement, teens everywhere have taken to Twitter to express their heartache.
In a video released by Funny or Die, Titanic‘s Billy Zane claims to believe that the 1D tweets are directed toward him.
“This whole hashtag #AlwaysInOurHeartsZayn thing is curious in a couple ways. I had no idea that all of my fans were hysterical fourteen-year-old girls.”
Zane, 49, goes on to read some of the “generous” and “curiously heartbroken” tweets but stops to take note of inconsistencies with the spelling of his name.
“I don’t want to be nit-picky but for the sake of record it’s Z-A-N-E, not Z-A-Y-N.”
Furthermore, the actor wants his followers to know that they have his full support. Is there a better way to do so than to reference Celine Dion‘s “My Heart Will Go On?” Absolutely not.
“Near, far, wherever you are, my heart will go on… and on.”
