Before Blue Ivy Carter was born, Beyonce and Jay-Z were smitten with yellow. As in, the Coldplay song of the same name.
During Beyonce’s HBO documentary Life Is But a Dream, which aired on Saturday night, the 31-year-old singer gave fans a rare look at her private life with her husband of nearly five years.
Borrowing some lines from the British band (and close friends of the couple), Bey and Jay can be seen serenading each other over dinner after finding out that the “Crazy In Love” singer is pregnant.
“This baby has made me love him more than I ever thought I could love another human being. It’s just, I love him so much. We almost feel like one. I don’t know how to describe it,” Beyonce says in a voiceover.
The moment gets even sweeter when Beyonce changes the lyrics just a bit, singing “Jay-Jay I love you so.”
The 90-minute documentary was one of two huge Beyonce events that aired on Saturday. Queen Bey also sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a new episode of Oprah’s Next Chapter on OWN.
“I would not be the woman I am if I did not go home to that man,” she tells Winfrey at one point. “It gives me such a foundation.”
